He An (b. 1970, Wuhan, China) currently lives and works in Beijing. He studied at the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. His practice spans various forms, frequently utilizing industrial materials to create site-specific installations rich in sensory narrative. Constantly attuned to cultural, historical, political, and social issues, He An’s broad intellectual interests allow his work to remain synchronized with the "contemporary" on both geopolitical and aesthetic levels.
